What"s Great in Charlotte

As this is my first blog, I wanted to explain my reason for this. I hope that this inspires you to join me in my quest.
My wife, Ginny, and I were talking recently about all the things we used to do in the Charlotte area. Being a Realtor, with less income than a few years back, we just did not go ahead and do things the way we used to. Until now!!
We have decided to fall back in love with Charlotte. Go to dinner somewhere new; go to a cool little coffee house; do a gallery crawl; walk or ride bikes on a section of greenway that we have not tried; etc.
Here is where you come in. Give me, and any followers, your great ideas that you have found, that you tell friends about. There must be something.
Our first thing that we have really come to enjoy, are the really great greenways around town. They are really terrific. Some for walking-some for biking. The walk we enjoy the most, so far, is from the Piper Glen area, near Trader Joes, on Bevington. A great way to spend an hour or two. Leave the bike home, as it is a bit winding and turning. That's not to say you won't have cyclists yelling "on your left", but I just don't think this stretch is appropriate for bikes.
So that's where we start. Let me here from you. I want to fall back in love with Charlotte again. Of course, not spending a fortune doing it would be nice too.
Thanks and I look forward to your comments.
